Advised Sunday Morning 28th June

Racecourse: Curragh
Time: 15:45
Date: 28/06/2020
Horse: Primo Uomo
Current Odds: 20/1 Ladbrokes & Coral 4 places else 18/1 Paddy Power paying 5 places, both BOG
Advised Stake & Bet Type: 0.5 Point Each Way
Selection Reasoning

Primo Uomo showed himself in good form when second to Jungle Jane at Tipperary over this trip. The winner runs here but has her work cut out carrying a 7lb penalty as well as being 7lbs higher in the ratings. Joey Sheridan is great value for his 7lbs claim and is riding plenty of winners for Denis Hogan so that is a positive booking. Last September Primo Uomo raced from a mark of 101 is the “Bold Lad” spring handicap on Irish Champions Weekend so looks well treated off a mark of 93 today. It reads better with Joey taking off a further 7lbs leaving Primo Uono effectively racing from a mark of 86 carrying 9 stone. The good ground is fine and he is well drawn in stall 14.

Racecourse: Curragh
Time: 16:15
Date: 28/06/2020
Horse: Forever in Dreams
Current Odds: 6/1 Bet365 else 11/2 Betvictor, William Hill & Unibet all 3 places
Advised Stake & Bet Type: 1.0 Point Each Way
Selection Reasoning

Denis Hogan is gaining a tall reputation as a trainer of sprinters. Denis went close to training the winner of the Diamond Jubilee stakes with bargain purchase Skeptical and has a strong chance today with Make A Challenge. However, the more rain that falls the better the chance of Forever in Dreams who finished in front of Make A Challenge at Ascot on British Champions Day. This tough filly gets 3lbs from the favourite and relishes cut in the ground. First time pieces have been applied so connections mean business following a satisfactory seasonal debut at Naas three weeks ago. The harder they go up front the better and you can bet Make A Challenge will go fast off the front end hopefully setting it up for a closer over the top!

Racecourse: Curragh
Time: 17:15
Date: 28/06/2020
Horse: Hamley
Current Odds: 15/2 Boylesports 5 places else 7/1 Paddy Power, Betfair SB & William Hill, all paying 5 places
Advised Stake & Bet Type: 0.5 Point Each Way
Selection Reasoning

Hamley finished a fast finishing fourth in this race last year from a 8lb higher mark. She came from miles back but couldn’t reel in the leaders looking like she was left too much to do. She is drawn highish in stall 14 but can hopefully slot in behind the leaders and get some luck in running. All last season she raced consistently in premier handicaps, so she is tried and trusted in such races. Peter Fahey is a great trainer for targeting a race and no doubt this has been the early season plan following a pipe opener at Gowran Park eleven day ago. The trip is ideal and so long as the ground doesn’t cut up too much she looks to have an excellent chance with 3lb claimer Ben Coen riding.
