Advised Thursday Morning 25th June
Kimifive was a very unlucky loser at Newmarket three weeks ago. Oisin Murphy had him on the rail and he just got no run yet finished full of running. The winner of that race Jacks point finished runner up in a good handicap at Royal Ascot which gives the form a solid look. Kimifive loves fast ground so the very hot weather is a positve. Already there are 5 non runners in this race due to the going which this morning is stated as good, good to firm. Kimifive has been raced over 7 furlongs since landing a valuable handicap at Goodwood during the early part of last season. He just about stays 7 furlongs on an easy course and I have no concerns about him dropping back to 6 furlongs. A good pace looks certain with 14 runners in a very good and competitive handicap. Staxton has dropped to a well handicapped mark but might just prefer more cut in the ground. Kimifive should be bang there at the business end of this race if travelling as well as he did at Newmarket for in form trainer Joe Tuite.
