Moon Over Germany is having his final run as a novice in this Grade 2 race. He is a classy horse on his day such as when winning the Red Rum handicap chase at the Aintree festival winning by 10 lengths with Lady Buttons runner up. That sort of form should be good enough to win this afternoon against very inexperienced novice chasers. The soft going is ideal and Mark Walsh takes over riding duties as Rachael Blackmore and Davy Russell are committed to riding Gigginstown Stud owned runners. Moon Over Germany won nicely at Ballinrobe in August before finding two and a half miles too far at Tipperary behind Robin De Carlow. Dropping down in trip to two miles makes perfect sense and has a good winning opportunity here.
