Advised SATURDAY MORNING 11th JANUARY

Racecourse: Fairyhouse
Time: 14:10
Date: 11/01/2020
Horse: Ornua
Current Odds: 11/1 Paddy Power 5 places esle 11/1 Betfair SB & Betvictor both 4 places, use BOG bookies.
Advised Stake & Bet Type: 1/2 Point Each Way
Selection Reasoning

Ornua carries top weight of 11-10 with Dylan Robinson claiming a useful 3lbs riding. Trained by inform Henry De Bromhead this looks  a good opportunity for Ornua dropping back to handicap company for the first time over fences. He won a Grade 1 at the Aintree festival last season. This season he ran well to finish third on his seasonal debut behind Cilaos Emery at Naas in a Grade 3. His run at Sandown can be scratched as albetit a Grade 1 chase Ornua didn’t give his true running. He has been freshened up for this assignment skipping the Christmas meetings.

Racecourse: Kempton
Time: 14:40
Date: 11/01/2020
Horse: Burrows Edge
Current Odds: 13/2 William HIll 4 places else 13/2 Bet365 only 3 places, use BOG bookies
Advised Stake & Bet Type: 1/2 Point Each Way
Selection Reasoning

Nicky Henderson has trained the winner twice in the past 10 renewals and looks to have a good chance with Burrows Edge. I remember his horse flying home all too late to place grabbing second place behind Eric Le Rouge last February. That effort came on his first run in 10 months and he wasn’t knocked about by Nico De Boinville that day. He failed to build on that good run over course and distance in the silver plate hurdle and was not seen again until when falling on his chasing debut last month. Burrows Edge is very lightly raced for a seven year old and looks the type to go up the ratings significantly when everything comes together. A rating of 132 is fine and the good to soft ground will help make it more of a stamina test.

Racecourse: Warwick
Time: 15:00
Date: 11/01/2020
Horse: Le Breuil
Current Odds: 13/2 Paddy Power & Betfair SB 5 places else 13/2 Boylesports & William Hill both 4 places, use BOG bookies.
Advised Stake & Bet Type: 1/2 Point Each Way
Selection Reasoning

Le Breuil won the four miler at the last Cheltenham Festival coming out best in a dour battle with Irish raider Discorama. That is really good form and we know  he stays well from that win as well as having the class to place over two and a half miles at Cheltenham on good ground. JJ Codd rode him in the Becher Chase at Aintree before Christmas where he ran and jumped well until tiring nearing the final fence. That run was encouraging and with Luca Morgan claiming 7lbs, Le Breuil is affectively running from a mark of 141 leaving him very well handicapped on his best form. The soft ground will suit as will the step up in trip to 3m5f. Kimberlite King placed second in the aforementioned Becher Chase and the handicapper was quite lenient raising him just the 3lbs. The Conditional ran a cracker in the Ladbrokes Trophy chase behind De Rasher Counter but looks only fairly handicapped on 142. It is the National Hunt chase winner Le Breuil who we back to land this marathon chase for trainer Ben Pauling.

Racecourse: Warwick
Time: 15:35
Date: 11/01/2020
Horse: Tedham
Current Odds: 5/1 William Hill, Coral & Ladbrokes all 4 places, use BOG bookies
Advised Stake & Bet Type: 1 Point Each Way
Selection Reasoning

Tedham was slightly unlucky in the Betfair stayers hurdle race won by Stoney Mountain at Haydock in November. He was heavily backed that day but met trouble on the turn into the straight, getting shuffled backwards on the rail losing his position. To his credit he recovered well to finish off his race well claiming third place as the leaders tired up front. The handicapper has raised him 2lbs which is fair and he will relish this slightly longer trip on soft ground. Nick Scholfield will be determined to get the job done today as this horse needs to win and go up a few pounds to make the cut for the Pertemps final at the Cheltenham Festival.
