Advised FRIDAY NIGHT 6th DECEMBER

Racecourse: Aintree
Time: 13:30
Date: 07/12/2019
Horse: One For Arthur
Current Odds: 8/1 Boylesports, Betfred, Betway & William Hill, all paying 5 places, use BOG bookies
Advised Stake & Bet Type: 0.5 Point Each Way
Selection Reasoning

Lucinda Russell and One For Arthur are back for more over the national fences. One For Arthur won the Grand National in 2017 and came from a long way back to finish sixth last year having missed the 2018 national. This horse loves the national fences which is a major positive regarding this race. I though he ran well on his first run behind Mysteree at Kelso and he is 7lbs better off with the Eider Chase winner. One For Arthur will relish the soft going which he needs over this 3m2f trip where his good jumping can help him stay involved. Connections will hope they go hard up front to allow him come over the top as the leaders tire on the run to the elbow.

Racecourse: Aintree
Time: 15:15
Date: 07/12/2019
Horse: Ultragold
Current Odds: 6/1 Paddy Power, Betfair SB, Boylesports & William Hill, all paying 4 places
Advised Stake & Bet Type: 0.5 Point Each Way
Selection Reasoning

Ultragold gets the vote ahead of Flying Angel who won nicely at Ascot last time out. Ultragold has been kept fresh for this race having not finished at Ascot in a high class handicap chase. Aintree and the national fences bring out the best in this horse who won the Topham Chase twice and finished second and third at this meeting in this race and the Becher Chase. The Grand National was too much of a stamina test so dropping him back to this trip looks ideal. He is getting on now turning 12yo next month but retains plenty of ability such as when third to Walk in the Mill last season off a 6lb higher mark. Tom Scudamore rides and should enjoy a great spin around from this experienced chaser.

Racecourse: Sandown
Time: 15:35
Date: 07/12/2019
Horse: Vinnie Lewis
Current Odds: 10/1 Betfair SB, Paddy Power, Betway, Coral & Ladbrokes, all paying 4 places
Advised Stake & Bet Type: 0.5 Point Each Way
Selection Reasoning

Vinnie Lewis goes well around Sandown such as when chasing home Commodore over three miles last March. He is an out and out stayer and needs a marathon trip like this 3m5f. The good to soft ground or even softer is to his liking and Aidan Coleman is a positive jockey booking. A mark of 133 looks fine as that is the same mark he finished runner up over a trip too short last March. He ran fine on his first run of the season at Sedgefield when tiring late looking in need of that run. He should be primed for the London National which has a good pot up for grabs.
