November Handicap Ends Flat Turf Season

A busy day of quality racing this Saturday with the November handicap at Doncaster signalling the end of the turf flat season in the UK.

The Grand Sefton over the Grand National fences has an earlier date at Aintree while at Wincanton there is the Badger Ales handicap Chase and Elite Hurdle. In Ireland the jumpers head to Naas with top class speedsters meeting in the Poplar Square Chase. In interested those races and more are covered for full members ( Join Here ) . Later tonight we have the Breeders Cup at Del Mar in the United States so today's racing has something for everyone to enjoy.

Our final race on the flat turf for the 2021 season in the UK. The November handicap was good to us last year when we had the winner On To Victory backed. This year I am siding with two outsiders you have winning form this season and just love soft ground. Rhythmic Intent finished runner up in this race last season from a 3lb lower mark. He loves it at Doncaster and battled hard to land the Mallard handicap here over 1m6.5f on fast ground in September. Well drawn in stall 7 and with Kieran Shoemark riding we can expect a bold run from Rhythmic Intent in this valuable race.

Prince Alex is a son of Excelebration out of a Monjeu mare and needs soft ground to show his best form. In four runs on soft ground Prince Alex has won three times and second the other time. He impressed in July when winning at the Qatar Goodwood Festival getting the better of a good horse in Urban Artist. Earlier this season he lost out by a had to Nuits St Georges (runs here) over 1m6f on soft ground so he will stay this trip fine on this more galloping course relative to Goodwood. Forget his latest run in the Cesarewitch which was much too far over 2m2f and on good ground. Rossa Ryan rides and hopefully he can slot into a good position midfield from his wide draw in stall 18 carrying 8-13.
