Marvelman Set for Sprint Cup Stakes Showdown
A field of eight runners line up for the Betfair Sprint Cup Stakes.
The Sprint Cup Stakes is to be run on heavy ground which will test the stamina of these sprinters. Marvelman is a horse that will relish the extra stamina test due to the heavy ground. He raced over seven furlongs all last season and managed to win a Group 2 on soft ground at Doncaster.
Marvelman returned from a break to finished second to Paborus at Newcastle conceding five pounds to the winner. That is strong form and on heavy ground he can reverse placings with that horse here. Marvelman did well in the Strensall stakes at York recently when third to Notable Speech.
Haydock 3:40
1 point each way Marvelman 5/1 Paddy Power & PricedUp, 3 places.
Best of Luck, Nicky
Latest winner: Royal Zabeel @ 12/1
