KIMIFIVE ON NICE MARK AT GOODWOOD

It's a rather quiet Saturday following the excitement of the Ebor Festival last weekend.

Frustratingly, we backed the wrong Johnny Murtagh horse in the Ebor handicap! Today, we target a small field handicap at Goodwood where the ground is quick.

We take a chance on Kimifive on his first run since switching yards to David Bridgewater. Kimifive loves fast ground, and his last win came here over course and distance off the same mark of 88 as today back in 2019. He ran a cracker here last season when beaten a head by Summerghand in the Stewards Cup. This season he has been running well such as when fifth in the Bunbury Cup at Newmarket and third here on his first run of the season. The handicapper has relented dropping Kimifive 3lbs since he ran poorly at Ascot last month. Kimifive carries a featherweight of 8-2 and can bounce back to form benefiting from the recent change of scenery.

Dance Fever is the main danger in my book but tends to get done near the line when holding a winning chance. Oh This Is Us and Accidental Agent look to have a hard job on such high marks carrying big weights.
