Good Show showed lots of potential last season winning on his debut over 1m4f and getting a shocker of a ride by Jim Crowley at Nottingham to lose by a head. He travelled all over the field at Nottingham but Jim sat quietly and found more trouble and traffic in running than a blind man possibly could! The handicapper has allocated an opening mark of 90 which shows how good the form in the book is already following just three runs. Jason Watson rides for Scottish trainer Keith Dagleish who is based in Carluke, only an hour drive from Musselburgh.

Onesmoothoperator enjoyed a spin over two miles at Wolverhampton last month. That run should have brought him forward nicely and helped get him race fit for this valuable heritage handicap with over 50k to the winner. He ran well last season in some very competitive handicaps such as when 7th behind Farhaan at York’s Ebor festival & third at Ascot during the Shergar Cup meeting. He handles some cut in the ground and looks reasonably handicapped on a mark of 94 here. Ben Robinson rides for shrewd trainer Brian Ellison.
