The Epsom five furlongs course, which is downhill until the last 100 yards, is reputed to be the fastest of its kind in the world. The current world record for five furlongs, 53.69 seconds, was set by Stone of Folca in this race in 2012

Fair Wind ran no race at Chester; however, we can forgive that run as he was drawn in the carpark! This horse is talented but has his quirks like when refusing to race at the Goodwood Festival last season. When on song he is almost pattern class as he showed when cruising through the race to beat Albasheer at Ascot last summer.
Fair Wind beat last years Dash winner, Dream Composer at Goodwood last spring too. Fair Wind is well handicapped on 93 and well-drawn in stall 13. David Probert will want to hang onto the coat tails of the leaders as he knows this horse will finish strongly.
